Kim D. McCormack attended Mississippi State University, where she received her Bachelors of Arts degree in English Literature. She then attended the University of Memphis, Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law, where she received her Juris Doctorate.
While in law school, she served as a volunteer with the Memphis Child Advocacy Center and also worked as a Court Appointed Special Advocate. She is a Recipient of the American Jurisprudence Award in the area of Legal Argument and Appellate Practice.
After graduating from law school, Kim was a law clerk for the Chief Justice of the Mississippi Supreme Court. She then entered private practice in the areas of labor and employment, and pharmaceutical litigation. She joined James & O’Brien Family Law Group in 2007 and now specializes solely in Family Law. She is admitted to practice in all courts in the State of Mississippi, Federal Courts for the Northern and Southern District of Mississippi, and the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.
